Under current CDC regulations, New York State now allows general admission music events of our size to take place provided that audiences are fully vaccinated.
This is a very big turning point for nightlife in NYC and an important step on the path back to normalcy as our favorite cultural institutions attempt to get back on their feet.
So it is with gratitude that we announce that beginning June 10th, 2021, we will be clearing away our tables and chairs and inviting our community back to Elsewhere for regular standing room events without social distancing and an optional mask policy.
In order to do so, we must temporarily operate all events with proof of vaccination required for entry - more information is provided below this message on what to expect when you arrive.
We understand that for some, this policy raises questions of accessibility and inclusivity, topics which are very important to us. We are choosing to open under these mandatory guidelines not as a way to discriminate, but in order to create an environment of safety and comfort at our events during this difficult and complex time. During this transition period back to normalcy, our first priority is the safety of our audiences and community.
As the Summer and Fall unfold, our North Star on COVID policy will remain New York State and NYC guidelines, and we will be keeping our audiences up to date regularly if and when government restrictions lift.
Over the next several months, if you have concerns about public safety, or are unable or uncomfortable complying with CDC and NYS guidelines during this time, please reach out to us at email@example.com so we can help you navigate your ticket-holding experience with care.
Finally, we ask for your patience and empathy with our staff as we get Elsewhere back on its feet - when we got into nightlife we never imagined our job would include taking temperatures and checking vaccination cards.
We are as eager as our audiences to get back to the good old days, and we hope this summer’s good public health news already has us well on our way.

What to expect:
When you arrive, there will be a queue for your temperature to be checked - in order to be admitted into the venue, you must not be running a fever.
You may enter any Elsewhere event if you are fully vaccinated, meaning you have received the 2nd of 2 doses of the Moderna or Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, or 1 dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine more than 14 days prior to an event.
Once you are inside, masks and social distancing are not required, however, if wearing a mask does make you feel more comfortable, do not hesitate to keep it on!
Our staff will continue to wear masks, and will continue to thoroughly clean the venue, to ensure your safety.
Valid proof of vaccination includes:
New York State Excelsior Pass (https://epass.ny.gov/home)
A CDC-issued paper vaccination card, or photo of vaccination card
Any other New York State accepted digital vaccination status app
Vaccination proof must match your valid ID
