Spectrum of Light by Brian Vu

Thursday 24 Oct – Saturday 24 Oct, 2020

Brian Vu turns his surrealist lens on a previously overlooked space in Elsewhere, transforming it into a sunset-hued collage exploring depth and surface.

A surrealist photographic collage shot and then composited digitally. Elements of the face appear, layered underneath adornments of nature and jewelry. Painted by a thousand colors that includes a gradient of clouds to represent a sunrise and sunset.

Brian Vu is a queer Asian-American photographer and multimedia artist based in New York City. His work focuses on portraiture and still lifes. Vu re-envisions art history to include QPOC bodies and experiences.
